NEW HAVEN -- Gun violence generally doesn't happen in the East Rock neighborhood. In fact, the last homicide appears to date back a decade, if memory serves. Nonetheless, on Oct. 28, Kahson Douglas, 23, of New Haven, was gunned down in broad daylight on Edwards Street after a fistfight turned deadly.

His aunt said he was a father of two. Police say they have identified a suspect.
