Travis Washington, 17, of New Haven, is shot at Carmel and Percival streets. He was specifically targeted and killed, police believe, because of an ongoing dispute.

Donell David Allick, 31, a high school basketball star who went on to play Division I college hoops, is ambushed and shot to death at the apartment of a female acquaintance on Diamond Street. He was a New Haven Register all-state basketball pick in 1997-98.
