John-Claude James Sr., 26, is shot at Howard Avenue and Putnam Street over a gold necklace. Police charge Earl Simpson, 24, with aiding in the killing. The alleged gunman, Zachary Cody Franklin, 27, is arrested in Stafford County, Virginia on Nov. 17, 2011. Both suspects await extradition to Connecticut.
