Data Haven published a report that analyzes data from homicides that have occurred in the city between 2005 and 2012.

Among some of the highlights:
-Two-thirds of homicides occurred between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.
-One-third of the city's neighborhoods have been the scene of 85 percent of reported homicides.
-Overall, the city's homicide rate is comparable to the statewide average. Some neighborhoods with a high density of homicides are 10 times the state average.
