Many are contemplating how shootings are down by nearly half this year compared to the same time period last year, but homicides are up.
Last year, there were two homicides in March, none in April and then four in May. This year there were two in January (back to back days), then a quiet period until the end of March, which kicked-off three homicides within eight days.
Qusaan McKoy was shot Monday night and died early Tuesday morning. He was shot several times, including at least once in the head.
